Background

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter made in the brain. Also known as the "feel good" hormone, it plays a crucial role in the body's reward system. When we do something pleasurable, our brains release a large amount of dopamine, giving us a sense of pleasure. This system helps reinforce certain behaviors that will result in this rewarding feeling — in other words, we keep doing things that feel good.

Our project aims to leverage this reward system to address the issue of productivity for college students. By leveraging dopamine reward pathways, we could motivate college students to repeat productive behaviors, thereby increasing their overall productivity.

What is Prododo?

  • A mobile productivity application for college students.
  • Users help a dodo save his species by studying.
  • Traverse different maps and meet dodos from different areas.
  • Gain new dodos through studying a certain number of hours.
  • Have a prododo day everday!

Problem Statement

How might we create an accessible solution that leverages the brain's dopamine reward pathway to promote productivity in college students?
